First Stab

We are experiencing a sea change in the form and function of our family right now.  Sabine feels this change the least because she has no way of sensing existential, environmental, or economic change.  Between Kristen and myself, I would wager that we each intuit the changes to the same degree, but with significantly different emphasis.  

These changes are as follows:

*  Moving to Lancaster Pennsylvania 

*  Starting a new job for Kristen

*  Finishing seminary for Dain

*  Putting away PhD aspirations (at least for now) for Dain

*  Dain's wide-open job search

*  Looking to buy our first home

*  Figuring out daycare options 

*  Getting our finances in order 

Kristen and I are thrilled to be moving, but we will miss the community we have found in Cambridge, our church, and the food (to name a few aspects of New England)...

Dain's goal for this new blog during this time of transition is to reflect on 7 years of Massachusetts life with some shout-outs to "a few of my favorite things."
